On 4th July 1776 The United States Declaration of Independence, which was written mainly by Thomas Jefferson was adopted by the Continental Congress and signed by 56 delegates to the Continental Congress from the Thirteen British colonies established on the Atlantic coast of North America between 1607 and 1733.
A federal holiday since 1941, every year, on this date, the Americans celebrate their freedom by enjoying a barbecue among family and friends, watching the Parades and the amazing Firework Shows, that happen all over the country!
